| FREE - Preview Screening of MEDAL OF HONOR |

A special preview screening of MEDAL OF HONOR, a new PBS documentary that explores the history of America's highest military honor and the extraordinary acts of courage for which the medal has been bestowed, will be held at the Plaza Theatre on Oct. 21st at 7:30 pm.
The screening, presented by The Boeing Company in cooperation with the Association of the United States Army and KCOS-TV, is open to the public. Tickets are FREE and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors will open at the Plaza Theatre at 6:30 pm. |

Approximately 2 hrs. This afternoon's matinee will be hosted and sponsored by the New Mexico Film Office, and will feature screenings of the winner's of the 2008 edition of the New Mexico Filmmakers Showcase competition which was held this past summer in Albuquerque. Films to be screened include:
TIME ASSASSINS, A DAY IN HEAVEN, SOUNDS OF THE UNDERGROUND, A RETURN HOME and UNDERWAY. |

This year, the festival will be bigger, better and far more interactive, and versatile, involving all fields of art. There will be two film festivals, one for narrative and the other, a new addition this year, the REAL-REEL DOCUFEST, which will showcase independent documentaries. Also, added this year will be lectures and workshops in screen writing, producing, graphics & animation and digital editing. |
